Foxburg Naturefest Owl Prowl

Saturday evening May 4th, 24 hours later as part of the Foxburg Naturefest weekend ARCA will be hosting the second annual “Owl Prowl” at RiverStone Farm. This popular event begins at 8:30 PM twilight time. Gate fee is $5 per person and $15.00 per family. Gates open at 8:00 PM. Visitors will board wagons and are transported back into the woods, where Audubon guides will attempt to call in the owls. Last year the prowlers were visited by Screech owls and buzzed by their bigger cousins the Bard Owls. Please dress for the weather and the event goes on rain or moonshine, unless it is a thunderstorm downpour with lightning. Early birds can gather around a bon fire to swap feathered tales. Avid birders should also consider on Saturday the Golden Eagle Lecture/ Dinner earlier at Lincoln Hall. All are invited to return Sunday for the 5K Run/Walk at RiverStone Farm. The race/walk begins at the Event Barn area and course includes a run by the Mansion and through the hopefully blooming dogwoods.
