June 13th 2009 marks the beginning of one of the “coolest” projects ever to take place in Emlenton. The historic Emlenton Mill, formerly a grist mill, is opening it’s doors to artists, travelers, musicians, and people of the community. The new Emlenton Creamery will feature 10 flavors of Perry’s hard dipped ice cream, sundaes, coffees, and other goodies, as well offer a place to hang out, hold group trainings and classes and display the works of local artists. On Grand Opening day, there will be live musical performances by Paul Micheal Krahe filling the air with sound and watercolor works by artist Pat Whitaker, adorning the walls. So, stop on by for a lick and witness the sites, sounds, and flavors of the Emlenton Creamery!
