Chainsaw Carving by Brenda Lehman
Chainsaw carver, Brenda Lehman will be doing demonstrations and her work will be available for purchase at the Maple Syrup Festival. Located in Wellsville, N.Y. she is a French teacher by day and artisan by night. She makes impressive wildlife creatures using a log and a chainsaw. Yeany’s Maple is a family owned and operated maple producer located in downtown Marienville. In operation for 9 years now, they produce on average 1,000 gallons of syrup each year. Mr. Yeany tapped over 700 trees at the Riverstone Estate this year, and produced the syrup for the Maple Syrup Festival. Yeany’s will be providing all of the maple syrup and maple products for the festival this year. There will be a wide variety of maple confections to choose from including (more…)

Maple Creamy
The Foxburg Maple Syrup Festival and Yeany’s Maple introduce The Maple Creamy. This delicious frosty treat is made with fresh maple syrup and soft serve ice cream. This is just one of the many maple flavored treats you will find at the festival. Others include maple sugar, maple covered nuts, maple cream, maple candies, maple flavored cotton candy and shaved ice.
Watch how maple sugar and maple candies are made at The Allegheny Grille on the festival day. There will also be a maple cream making demonstration at Divani Chocolatier.

Foxburg Winterfest
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow, is the chant one hears as Foxburg prepares to host its first WinterFest, Saturday February 4th. A big event of the day will be the Sled Dog Fun Race at RiverStone Farm. The race will begin the day’s activities, with the gates at RiverStone opening at 9:30 AM.
Race events will begin at 10:30 AM with the presentation of various dog breeds, types of sleds, and explanation of the race, showing the race course layout and the rules. Demonstrations of the “mushing” equipment, dog team protocol, and mush commands will be included. Introduction of the Mushers will round out pre race activities. (more…)

From food to fine arts to curiosities and confections, you’re sure to find something to strike your fancy down in the valley at the Foxburg Fall Food, Art and Wine Festival. The Festival opens at 11 am and will continue until 6 pm and this year it will surely be magical as it is about to celebrate it’s lucky number 7th year anniversary on 10/10/10!
