Events for the Week of August 13 to August 19

This week, campers at the Gaslight Campground can enjoy a Rodeo Weekend starting on Friday, the 17th. Activities include Barrel racing, roping, hayrides, and bandanna craft. Hobo stew will be cooked at 5:00PM, so make sure to bring something for the pot. For even more fun, dress in western attire. There will be prizes for adults and children.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley Development Corporation is hosting their twenty-fourth annual golf outing on August 17, 2012 at St. Jude Golf Club in Chicora, PA. The golf outing will take place as a four person scramble, starting off with lunch at 11 am. There will also be a cash bar at 4:30pm followed by prize awards and dinner served in the Country Club dining room. Proceeds from this event will go towards helping to develop the Allegheny Clarion Valley Region.

The Allegheny Grille will continue to offer their weekly specials.

Foxburg Wine Cellars present Scottish music on Saturday to go along with the festival theme. On Sunday Terry Dach & James Willaman perform live on the winery’s patio 2-5pm.

Finally, the week concludes with the much awaited 4th Annual Scottish Festival. The festival is kicked-off by the traditional Ceilidh Friday evening. The day of the main festival is full of fun activities like Scottish bands, sports, dances, music and sheep dog demonstrations. Click here for all Scottish Festival related stories!
