Romeo and Juliet – Slippery Rock Drama Troupe

On Friday, May 3, a small but appreciative Lincoln Hall audience members experienced the delight of Shakespeare’s language of love in Foxburg’s Lincoln Hall at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 3, as the Slippery Rock University Drama Troupe presented a composite version of Romeo and Juliet.

Immediately following the performance, audience members engaged in a Question and Answers session with the performers and director.     

This was the conclusion of ARCA’s All-Day High School Outreach Program at Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School.   During a morning preparatory session, facilitated by Professor Ron Shafer of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and assisted by Ken and Liz Smith of the Hob Nob Theater, students experienced improvisation and scene development exercises around the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet and watched film clips from various Romeo and Juliet movies, including The Hunger Games.
