Western Pennsylvania Cancer Institute is holding it’s Fifth Annual “Teeing off for T,” Thomas J. Walsh Memorial Golf Outing on Saturday, July 20th.
The proceeds for this event benefit the patients of Western Pennsylvania Cancer Institute, the provide patients with exceptional cancer care from diagnosis through every phase of treatment and follow-up.
This golf outing will be held at the Rolling Fields Golf Club in Murrysville, PA.
WPIC has been able to provide, sofa-beds, flatscreen tv/dvr combos for each patient room, and 42 inch flatscreen tv for the patient lounge through this golf outing in the past 5 years.

Chris Smith was a young man who was taken too soon, the proceeds from this benefit will be given to The Kirkland Cancer Foundation in Franklin, PA and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
The benefit is July 20th at 3pm, dinner will be served at 6pm and there will be entertainment to follow!
Bring a new, unwrapped toy to be given to Children’s Hopsital in memory of Chris.
There will be a 50/50, Chinese Auction, Best Entertainment DJ with Karaoke, T-shirts, Food, and lots of fun!
The Chris Smith trio will also be performing.
The event will be held at 4459 Scrubgrass Rd in Grove City, PA.

It’s that time of year again! Summer Festival!
I know that I love it and am super excited for it.
There is really something for everyone, The Festival will go from the 12th which is Friday, until Sunday, the 14th.

Training Towards Self Reliance will be holding their 7th Annual Poker run on Saturday July 13, 2013.
You sign up at the Allegheny Grille located here in Foxburg, PA.
Registration is from 10:30 am to 1:00pm, with the Final stop being at the Knotty Pines in Cook Forest, PA. (Last bike in by 4:00pm)
There will be prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, these will be determined by the best 5 card poker hand, there will also be prizes for the oldest rider, and the largest group that is registered together.
Pre- Registration will count towards the group prize.
(1) 5.00$ Bonus card will be available at the final stop to improve hand.
The prizes included overnight accomodations, gift certificates, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Food, and non-alcoholic beverages are provided, you may purchase alcohol throughout the ride and at the final stop.
Prices are 20$ per ride, or 35% per couple. All forms of transportation are welcome.
