We Support the Sam Adams Benefit

picnic

Friends and Family of Sam Adams are holding a benefit in his name on Saturday, June 23 from 11:00am until 4:00 at the Grove City Memorial Park in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Sam Adams is a 38 year old man from Butler, PA, who has been diagnosed with a rare form of colon cancer. His doctors have informed him that only three people in Pennsylvania had this form of cancer in last 28 years. This is a very aggressive cancer and Sam has already lost parts of his liver and lungs. Sam is the father of a 9 year- old daughter. Please give him a belated Father’s Day gift and attend this heartfelt event.

This is a going to be a fun day for the entire family. They will have a dunking booth and a variety of carnival-style games for the kids. Food items will include baked goods, sloppy Joes, hot dogs and other picnic type foods. There will also be a bike run that will last about four hours, covering 90 miles with three stops. The registration for the bike run is from 9:00-10:30am and costs $15.00. When you register for the bike run you will receive a ticket that you may exchange for food upon returning. The run is from 11:00-3:00 and then the Chinese Auction (which includes a gift certificate for a one night stay at The Foxburg Inn Hotel) will begin when the bikers return.

Admission to the event is free. Fundraising activities will be in the form of a Chinese Auction, Bake Sale, Food Sales, Games and Raffles.
